Preston Bailey's ballroom in a tent

From Preston's book, Design for Entertaining:

"At first glance, you wouldn't think this decor is within a tent, would you?...We photographed elements of tradition ballroom decor and printed them on giant panels of fabric....The fabric is important. We like to print on fabrics that are sturdy but with a translucency to them. This way we can work with lighting the piece from above or below....We used the same technique to produce the screens that lined the room. Notice we even created a floral motif floor. Presto! A venue as impressive as any found in the finest hotels."

The fabric was dye sublimated and the dance floor was ink jet printed on vinyl by Better Mousetrap.
